Curious, Resourceful, Optimistic
Ella came to find yin yoga as a powerful tool to heal from trauma, redevelop a loving relationship with her body and spirit, and practice self-empowerment through mindfulness. She received her 250 hr training in Uptown, Chicago and has completed several additional trainings, ranging from her Reiki Level l certification as well as Trauma-Informed Yoga workshops. Her sequences aim to help students practice mental and physical flexibility, proprioception, offer opportunities for juicy adjustments, and always come from a consent-based approach. As a student herself, you can find her using every yoga prop she can get her hands on and taking very, very long savasanas.
Ella has her Masters of Science in Leadership in the Creative Enterprises, stemming from a passion for integrating social justice into arts organizational systems. Working in artistic administration, she has dedicated her career to implementing DEIA-first methodology into the performing arts field and uses her innate curiosity to promote change with empathy and intention. Her strong sense of justice leads her to believe that everyone deserves to feel safe and cared for, regardless of identity or life experience – a belief she also applies to her yogic ideals.
