Rachel combines athleticism, wisdom and soul to spin you a class like you have never experienced.
Rachel comes from an athletic background and found yoga after recovering from an injury. She has played competitive soccer, track & field, and volleyball. She loves to hike, boulder/rock climb, ski, and run outside and that sense of adventure follows her onto the mat.
Rachel believes in the balance between action and study – receiving her 200 hour certification through Yoga Garden SF and currently working towards her 500 hour certification. Areas of interest include Ayurveda, meditation, pranayama, yoga philosophy and yoga energetics. Rachel majored in psychology with a minor in biology. She emphasized in neuroscience along with human physiology and the interplay of yogic and scientific teachings greatly inform her style on the mic. In her personal practice, she loves to explore movement through creative flow; interweaving in breathing practices, mantras, and mediation.
